Ian Thomas is a graduate of Oxford and Cambridge and has a formidable career with 20 years of experience in data and analysis at some of the largest technology companies in the world, including IBM and Microsoft.

He joined BetKing in mid-2020 with the promise of a new challenge. “The company fascinated me because it offers the ability to create an analytical and data function from scratch. BetKing is a fast-growing company with a real thirst for data,” he explains. As an industry veteran, Thomas’s experience, especially as an analyst and data leader at “DataIQ 100 2020”, was invaluable in preparing BetKing. In the next phase of development, the aversion to “overloading people with processes” and planning for future scalability was at the heart of the company’s transformation strategy.

Thomas calls his inclusion in the 2020 edition of the DataIQ 100 list “ a great honor. ”

Although he recognizes the value he has been able to create for companies, he cites the positive impact it has had on people’s lives, from customers to team members and stakeholders, as his most proud professional achievement. For him, the biggest challenge of digital transformation is not necessarily the acquisition of technology, but the cultural investment that sustains it.
